How to make healthy granola with nuts and cinnamon?

Hey-hey, everyone, my name is Wendy and I successfully continue to bombard you with my questions about healthy recipes, oops, sorry. My third question is not about salads, like the previous two, now it is connected with healthy and tasty breakfasts. I want to ask you about granola –  you know, it is a breakfast food consisting of rolled oats, nuts, honey or other sweeteners such as brown sugar. I have tried it many times before my uni classes and now I want to get used to it for breakfast. So, what recipes can you pass me about granola? Thanks for the answers!

Hi there! Although granola is very popular in coffee shops, I prefer to make it my own way at home. It`s safer, cheaper and the house smells amazing. The proportions are quite fluent. You need a handful or two of your favorite nuts: walnuts, sunflower seeds, pecans, almonds – all raw and chopped. Some rolled oats (a cup or a bit more), brown sugar (1 tbsp), cinnamon (1 tbsp), melted coconut oil (one-third of a cup), honey (a half-cup). Mix everything in a large bowl, sprinkle with oil and honey, stir carefully. The mixture is ready to spread on the parchment paper. The granola layer has to be thin and even. Bake for about an hour until golden. Do not stir when granola is being cooled down. Your perfect snack is ready.  A must have in your bag when out. Enjoy!

Dear Wendy, granola is an amazing meal for breakfast. You can easily prepare it at home. There is a lot of different varieties of granola. This one is simple. All you need is: oat meal 400 g, nuts 300 g, coconut plats 100 g, natural oil 150 ml, honey 150 ml, 2 tbsp of cynamon. You need to mix everything in bowl. Preheat oven to 170 degree. Put mass on the baking paper and bake till the praparing.  Mix every 10 minutes. That’s all.

Bon Appetit!

Hello! Here is good variant:

  • Dry
1½ cups oats (I used rolled oats)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts and/or seeds (I used a combination of almonds, sunflower seeds and chia seeds)
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon (or similar spice)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Wet
    1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp applesauce

Preheat the oven to 250F. Combine the wet ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer. Turn mixer on low and mix until the ingredients are combined, about 1 minute. Add the dry ingredients while the mixer is on low. When all of the dry ingredients have been incorporated with the wet, turn the mixer off. Scoop granola into a single layer on a large 13″ x 17″ cookie sheet (or use two smaller cookie sheets). Bake in the oven for 1 hour, turning every 20 minutes (set the timer). Remove from the oven and do not turn or stir. Let it cool completely before moving to storage. This keeps the clusters in tact.
